VITALink - Goldwing Cable

Exane VITALink MC Transit is an armoured power cable with a 2 hour fire-rating. A low smoke zero halogen jacket surrounds corrugated welded copper armour and Fire-Roc insulation to give the annealed copper wire maximum protection. VITALink is a multi core self-contained cable which is easy to install – no cutting, deburring, no bending or wire pulling is needed, it fits directly from the reel without needing any special equipment. It’s ideal for use in ventilation, lighting and communications circuits.

*Rated 90°C for normal operation, 130°C for emergency overload conditions and 250°C for short circuit conditions.

UL listed as 2-hour fire rated in accordance with ANSI/UL 2196, maximum 480 volts under fire conditions
Electrical Circuit Integrity Systems (FHIT) — System No. 120 of the UL Fire Resistance Directory
Meets and exceeds fire rated cable requirements in NFPA 130 for Transit applications and NFPA 502 for Highway Tunnel applications
Complies with NFPA 130 and NFPA 502 for total smoke released and low toxicity
For use in wet locations to 90°C
Rated FT-4/IEEE 1202 vertical flame test; ST1, limited smoke
Armoured with copper sheath that exceeds the NEC requirement for equipment grounding conductor

Construction

Conductor: Annealed copper, Class “B” strand per ASTM B-170 and B-8
Insulation: Thermoset, low smoke zero halogen silicone rubber
Circuit Identification: Printed numbers per ICEA Method 4
Inner Jacket: Thermoset, low smoke zero halogen silicone rubber
Armour: Continuously welded and corrugated copper
Outer Jacket: Black low smoke, zero halogen polyolefin (colours available on request)
